Principal's Message

Greetings Harvie Hero Families,
It is with incredible joy and excitement that I introduce myself as the Principal of Harvie Elementary! I am deeply honored to join this wonderful community, and I cannot wait to partner with you to support, inspire, and celebrate our amazing students. Prior to serving the Harvie community, I was an Associate Principal, Innovative Learning Coach, and Classroom Teacher.

As we kick off this chapter together, I want to share a bit about the core values that will guide our work every single day:

• High Expectations: I believe deeply in the unlimited potential of every single child. Together, we will challenge our students to reach new heights academically, socially, and emotionally, holding ourselves to the highest standards of excellence.
• All In: True success takes a village. This year’s theme is “All In”. As your principal, I am fully invested in this school, our staff, and your children. We are committed to giving 100% every day, and we invite you to collaborate with us as an active partner in this journey.
• Having Fun: Learning should be an experience! We expect our classrooms and hallways to be filled with curiosity, engagement, and joy. School should be a place where kids can't wait to arrive each morning.

Beyond these values, my core philosophy centers on nurturing the whole child. Education at Harvie Elementary is about fostering creativity, resilience, empathy, and physical well-being. To do that effectively, we must ensure that every student steps into a learning environment that is safe, clean, and allows them to be their authentic selves. When children feel secure, valued, and safe to express who they truly are, their capacity to learn and grow skyrockets.

A strong school community relies on strong partnerships. I am looking forward to providing multiple opportunities throughout the year for community engagement—from family nights and volunteer opportunities to open forums where we can connect and collaborate. Your voice, your presence, and your insights are vital to our success.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with family, traveling, and trying new restaurants. My door is always open, and I am eager to get to know each of you. Let’s make this an unforgettable school year!
